Poppy Fall

From Sunday 7th November to Tuesday 23rd November. An installation on the north wall of the church, to remember those who have fallen in conflict, created from knitted and crocheted poppies, made by members of the community of Ashby de la Zouch.

Photos above show how we prepared and stretched the net, then attached the poppies. Note that tea & cake was an essential aid to our work! The following day, a willing crew hauled our net of poppies to the top of one of the buttresses on the north wall and secured it against the wall. We think it looked spectacular.

Fused Glass Workshops

Two workshops on Saturday 4th December, to make glass Christmas Decorations. Booking has now closed.

Christmas Fayre

Saturday 27th November from 11 am - 2 pm, in the Church.

Despite really windy and snowy conditions on the day, it was a marvellous turnout. Visitors streamed in throughout the morning and it was such a happy, joyous and lovely atmosphere, lots of laughter and banter and catching up. It truly made it a “family” occasion enjoyed by all.

To crown it all, we raised a very handsome amount for our much needed funds. Without your generous support in time, money and effort, this would not have been possible. A big Thank You to you all.

The magnificent total amount raised was £3,300.
